MALDEN BRIDGE – The Annual Meeting of the Old Chatham Union Cemetery Corporation will be held at 2 p.m. on September 17 in the Vedder Room of the Malden Bridge Community Center, 1087 Albany Turnpike, Malden Bridge. All lot owners or their designated representative from the cemetery located on Shaker Museum Road are encouraged to attend. The meeting agenda will include a financial report from the Treasurer, including a report on a recent letter sent to lot owners requesting assistance to support cemetery maintenance. Other business will include discussion of general maintenance, election of officers and directors and any other business that may come before the Company. NORTH CHATHAM – Laura Cannamela will present “Harmonic Nature,” featuring her art, at 3 p.m. September 18 at the North Chatham Free Library, 4287 Route 203, North Chatham. She finds inspiration by observing Kinderhook Creek and nature’s patterns. She will show her work and discuss some of her artistic historical and geological sources, such as Japanese artwork, ancient rocks from Chinese scholars, and the glacially carved gorges of Valatia where she lives. GHENT – The Kinderhook Sportsmen’s Club, 376 Fowler Lake Road, Ghent, will host a chicken barbecue from 3-6 p.m. on September 18, eat-in or take-out.
